Strube Group strengthens position in Belgium

Söllingen/Gembloux, 2014-09-08 – From August 1st, 2014, the Strube Group has acquired De Wulf Agro, its representative in Belgium. Bruno De Wulf will remain as Manager of the company and the current commercial organization will stay as it is. Besides his function in Belgium, De Wulf will also be active in specific international projects within Strube.

The Strube Company and its representative on the Belgian market, De Wulf Agro, have recently signed an agreement to perpetuate and develop their activities in Belgium. The company’s offices will continue at the registered address in Gembloux.

“We are very happy about the agreement signed with Bruno De Wulf, which is a strategic step for our company. We see considerable growth potential for us in the Belgian market and we anticipate a considerable increase in our market share in the coming years.” Sina Isabel Strube (CEO Strube) says. “We rely on Bruno De Wulf and his team’s competence and expertise in Belgium, and we are confident that they will bring their knowledge to our other markets and products.”

The sugar beet sector is actively preparing for the important challenges to be met with the end of the European sugar regime and the national quota system in 2017. This will obviously also affect the suppliers of the sector, in particular the sugar beet seed breeders.

“With the end of quotas, the sugar market and indirectly the seeds market will become more international. Our integration into the Strube Group will allow us to strengthen our position in Belgium, and also to participate in the development of Strube.” Bruno De Wulf (Manager De Wulf Agro) says.
